More than a month has gone by, and unfortunately, we are still not able to open for regular care. We had been waiting on precious PPE supplies, and they’ve just arrived last week, but we are still waiting on the installation of the air purification system. It’s taken longer than we’d hoped, but we understand, as it’s the first system of this design, and we are the first to get it! The system makes us feel safe to work and protect our staff and our patients. They estimate that we could have it running in a couple of weeks, and we can get back to regular care at that time. In the meantime, we have seen a couple of patients with emergencies and fractured teeth. There’s still a long list, but we are whittling our way through it.
If you had an appointment booked in the first 2 weeks of July, you should have received a call that it is cancelled. For those who have appointments after July 13th, we will call you to confirm your appointment. We will also start to book patients that had been cancelled during the 3 months’ closure. Please be patient with us, as we are trying to make up over a hundred days lost, and we are not going to be able to be at full capacity with social distancing still in place.
